On the Campaign Trail: Republicans Continue their Swings

As the campaign has started to pick up momentum over the past month, the Republican candidates field has shifted.

Since my last blog post I've covered Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal and ran into Jeb Bush at a bar on his (and my) night off. In that time, Ben Carson (who has Secret Service protection) has slipped in the polls. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are vying for the moderate Republican votes and recently Cruz even placed higher in one poll than Trump. Jeb Bush is trying to come up in the polls whereas Bobby Jindal has dropped out completely.

The campaigns are different than last year, from everything I'm hearing. Trump's presence and cult of personality mean that big stages are in and smaller events are fewer and farther between. You'll likely seem more of a stark contrast in January, but here's a taste now.
